You don’t need to worry about being intimidated, it doesn’t matter if you don’t even know how to turn on your camera. If you’re more advanced we can talk about where you want to take your photography and how to break through to a new level.

A typical one to one day includes:

• Meet at the location and go through the basics, including explaining your camera controls and possibly setting it up for best results.

• Control of focus and exposure and the factors affecting image sharpness

• Use of ISO and white balance

• RAW vs. JPEG

• How to view the scene to find the subject and get the best composition

• For more advanced photographers we'll spend more time on subject, composition and story-telling, helping you find your style

• Practice these techniques by taking lots of shots

• At the end of the day we'll upload your shots to the laptop and look at how you can use editing software to get the best out of your pictures.

The key to the day is listening to your needs and aspirations and taking it at your own pace. We’ll tailor the day based on the information you give me beforehand  and we’ll be flexible throughout. We’ll also consider your physical fitness and ability to get around, so being less mobile is not a problem.

Price

£150 for a full day plus £40 per extra person

£75 for a half day plus £20 per extra person (Eden Valley and North Pennine locations only)
