Malham

ree

Together with good pal Richard ( https://www.richardwallsphotography.com/ ) we spent a day photographing Malham Cove, one of the best known sights in the Dales national park. Unspectacular middle of the day summer light didn't inspire me so I didn't expect to get much. As usual, some ruthless editing and appropriate processing proved me wrong and I got some OK shots, though not many. None of the main sight we went to see, the cove itself, which I've always found a difficult subject. Richard went back another day in better light and got a very good shot of the cove from the side. Nowadays it's well over two hours drive away so I'm not hurrying to get back but I think it would repay some effort, waiting for good season, good weather and good light.
