Thanks to Iain Banks for the post title but these shots were taken on the towpath of the Bridgewater Canal a few miles from home. We'd walked there a few days earlier and it was particularly rich in flowers and grasses so I went back for a photography trip.
The water creates a unique steel-grey background for most of the shots, which I quite like.
