I started my photography in the Yorkshire Dales and some of my very earliest pictures can be seen in this selection. Photographing here is a different experience than in the more dramatically mountainous areas of Cumbria and Snowdonia. You need to work harder and see more clearly to find compelling compositions but with luck and perseverance the results are richly rewarding.
