I live at the very top left corner of the North Pennines at the top (or is it bottom?) of the Eden Valley. Far quieter than the Lake District or Yorkshire Dales but just as beautiful. Just past the northern end of the range, separated by the Tyne Gap and the A69, is the ridge of the central section of Hadrian's Wall.
